Ms. Laura Diaz, an inspiring anchor, was borne to farm worker parents. At 4, her family moved to Santa Clarita Valley where Laura attended her first school. She completed her schooling from less known William S. Hart High School. It was the age when she had got an idea about her career. She earned her Bachelor in Arts from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. It was during her internship at IBM that she felt the fire within. Her focused efforts got her a job at KSB Y-TV in San Luis. And the journey began.

Today, while positioned at the most coveted anchoring position in LA, Ms. Laura Diaz Anchor attributes her success to those of her struggle days greatly. “I am eternally grateful for those times” she says.

Besides her beautiful reflections this anchor has a very soft heart inside; pounding at every pity in the society, especially for children. Laura Diaz Anchor sits on the advisory board of trustees of “The Joyful Child Foundation”. The foundation works against child predators by organizing neighborhood watches to keep them off the streets. It was started by children’s advocate Erin Runnion whose daughter was murdered by a sexual predator in 2002. Laura had extensively covered the story then and is committed to the cause since after. Her association with the foundation is her sincere concern for forming a fearless world for women.
